Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities

Reviews and controls accounts and records to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with all pertinent procedures and regulations. Prepares complex journal entries accordingly. Prepares and processes salary re-distributions.

Assists in the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial and budget reports, including Board of Trustee Reporting.

Maintains current on reporting, IRS regulations, GAAP, GASB, FASB and other generally accepted practices as required in the position.

Maintains the accounting and budget for Plant Funds. Prepares monthly reconciliations of ledger, Project Information Tracking System and Local Government Investment Pool accounts. Tracks project costs, transfers to Fixed Assets and closes out accounts according to project progression. Prepares University bank reconciliations.

Assist with the reconciliation and maintenance of fixed assets; prepares and processes various University allocations and reconciliations.
