Minimum Position Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and two years custodial experience with a minimum of one year supervisory experience OR High School diploma/GED and two years of experience as a Lead Custodian at the University and successful completion of all required training the Custodian Supervisor. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be flexible to address after hour emergencies when necessary.

2p.m.-10p.m.
10p.m.-6a.m.

May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The department is especially interested in candidates with the following:

Ability to use a windows operating system as well as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel) preferred.
Knowledge of general housekeeping practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to operate an University vehicle in a safe manner.
