Minimum Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area and ten (10) years of appropriate experience. Relevant experience may substitute for required education. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Work Schedule

Monday – Friday
Typical work day is 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. but hours may vary depending on projects or other matters requiring attention.

Additional hours may be required during peak times or emergencies.

Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities

Through subordinate managers and supervisors, oversees all technical and administrative aspects of providing landscaping services and support at the main campus and all remote locations.

Plans, directs, and oversees execution of all grounds/landscaping activities, to include lawn care, tree and shrubbery pruning, bed planting & maintenance, mulching, weed control, liter removal, solid waste collection & removal, and pavement sweeping/ clearance for walks, roads, parking lots & garages.

Oversees and directs equipment maintenance operations to reduce costs and lengthen the service life of University owned equipment

Administers, inspects and accepts landscaping work preformed by contract; develops contract requirements for purchase of flowers and other landscaping materials and/or equipment; approves payments of contracts and invoices

Schedules assignments; reviews and adjusts work schedules; analyzes scheduling and work data, makes adjustments to assure effective and efficient operations.
