Typical work day is 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. but hours may vary depending on projects or other matters requiring attention.

Job Duties

Duties & Responsibilities

Through subordinate managers and supervisors, oversees all technical and administrative aspects of providing building services to approximately 4.5 million square feet of university space. Excludes campus residence facilities and rental properties. Staff consists of approximately 175 full-time employees who provide custodial and pest control for the main campus and remote locations.

Plans, directs, and oversees execution of all building service activities, to include daily/weekly/monthly cleaning, deep-cycle cleaning, recurring floor care/maintenance, rubbish/recyclables removal, restroom restocking, replacement of ceiling tiles, carpet tiles, and dispenser batteries, relamping of fixtures, special events, and proactive.reactive pest control services.

Administers, inspects, and accepts building service work preformed by contract; develops contract requirements for purchase of equipment and supplies; approves payments of contracts and invoices.
