Position Summary

The Department of Political Science at The University of Memphis invites applications for a tenure track position in Public Policy at the level of Assistant Professor. The position will start in the fall 2018 pending the availability of funds. Candidates must have the Ph.D. in hand by August 2018. We seek applications from candidates with research and teaching interests in Public Policy. Candidates from across all subfields of Political Science and Public Policy are encouraged to apply. Areas of particular interest for the department include environmental policy, political economy, public health, race, gender and social justice. Individuals with cross-cutting disciplinary and/or methodological interests are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be able to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Public Policy and must show promise of excellence in research and teaching. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
